The Battle of Gettysburg was the largest, bloodiest battle of the Civil War.  It started when Lee and his forces to Gettysburg.  The battle started when the Condfederates drove the Union back from a small town.  On July 2, the Confederates attacked the Union left and right flanks.  On the morning of July 3, was driven back from their last hold on Culp's hill.  Lee then bombarded the Union forces on Cemetery Ridge with artillery.  Then the Confederate's Pickett's Charge attacked the Union line, and broke through the line momentarily, but were driven back.  A Confederate cavalry
