Description
General Grant was trying to take control of the Mississippi River, which led to him take control Fort Henry and Fort Donelson in February of 1862. Grant went to a small village in Tennessee called Shiloh during this campaign. On April 6, Confederate surprised Union troops. After a long battle the Union finally won. |
